Óbidos and Ericeira Tour
The medieval village of Óbidos charms those who visit it. It is in the midst of the West Coast, surrounded by a rural area and magnificent beaches.
We start our private tour departing from Lisbon and discovering unique enchanted places, a moment to be celebrated with the elegant wines of the Lisbon Wine Region.
Any motive is a good one to visit Óbidos. It has a medieval environment that inspires romanticism. Óbidos is known as the Queen’s village as there was a royal tradition to give it as a wedding present to the Queens. It is for the same reason that there are so many churches in this small village.
Going into this walled village, no one can be indifferent to it and its charms. Its castle, the streets labyrinth and white houses, the flowery balconies, and of course, its sweet pastry.
We will make a pleasant and calm stroll around this beautiful village showing you its balance and harmony. A moment to enjoy and taste the famous “Ginginha de Óbidos”, which the recipe came from the region’s monasteries.
We will visit a wine-producer Vineyard where you will be able to taste and appreciate the wine that was so popular in England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I and later, during the Victorian era, thanks to the presence in Portugal of the English army that came to help the Portuguese army against Napoleon’s one.
We will continue our journey to Ericeira, a fishing village, famous for its beautiful beaches located where the high cliffs meet with the Atlantic Ocean.
It is a famous surf spot and a chosen holiday getaway. Here you will relax and have lunch while enjoying an astonishing landscape over the Atlantic Ocean.
We will visit another wine-producer Vineyard in the demarcated region of the Lisbon Region, along the Portuguese Atlantic coast.
Discover this beautiful region and allow yourself to be delighted and amazed!
